The need for more useable space led the church to revitalize two hitherto ill-used spaces within the building. The requirement was to produce two first floor, sound-proofed rooms. SRM was asked to manufacture and install glazed walls and entrances within the roof structure. The new joinery was to reflect the existing Douglas Fir frames of the ground floor. The arches and roof space were template and SRM had to ensure that the acoustic design met with the architect’s brief and the client’s need. This required research into acoustic design and sourcing appropriate materials.
